Kowbell is a way for me to get my passion for all things vintage into the world around me and I've been all about 'vintage' way before it was everywhere. But I'm so glad it has taken off and generations younger than me are finding their passion and careers in this world. 

 

In recent years, the surge in mass production has fostered a culture of excessive consumption, dominating our interior spaces. But I've also embraced the idea that mass production, China and other very affordable markets of production are here to stay. 

 

Today, our planet calls for a more mindful approach. It urges us to reevaluate, repurpose, and cherish what surrounds us while considering the sustainability of every new addition to our homes. Sadly, and in reality, this just does not work as a functional way to do business. So this is my hobby. I look for beautiful things, make and refurnish things and I hope people are willing to pay a bit more to appreciate the time and effort it took to source materials and the local people I pay a fair wage to craft a piece.
